The Bendigo Sustainability Group (BSG) has recently reached agreement with the City of Greater Bendigo (CGB) to install a 20kW solar PV system on the roof of the central Bendigo Library.
The BSG is a not for profit membership based organisation and plays a crucial role in Bendigo’s environmental and social culture.
The BSG will own the solar PV system and the City of Greater Bendigo / Library will pay the BSG for the power that is directly generated from the sun. The money earned will be reinvested back into other community programs and initiatives.
In the past we have donated 15kW of solar PV to Bendigo Community Health Services, 4 x 1.6kW systems to each of Haven; Home, Safe and Community Housing Ltd for the homes of low income tenants.
However to achieve the 20kW installation we need the support of the Bendigo community and would like to invite you to make a donation towards this vital initiative.
We are seeking donations of $400 per panel; all donations are tax deductible. For more information and method of payment, please refer to the attached brochure. Donations can be made by direct deposit into Sustain Bendigo Fund, BSB 633108 Acct 135526184
